The Wedge 02:55
Used to look through our pictures Seeing them on the wall Oh we’re two different people The difference seem kind of small But we’re talking two languages and neither one stands up at all lookin through the pictures on the wall You used to know my heart You used to know me Never thought we part You used to know my heart The years when we would play The same songs we would sang But that wedge has gone deeper everyday Driven by religion and pain The days gone by, damage’s been done Can’t sing a song that's already been sung You used to know my heart You used to know me Never thought we part You used to know my heart The days gone by, the damage’s been done Can’t sing a song that's already been sung You used to know my heart You used to know me Never thought we part You used to know my heart You used to know my heart You used to know me Never thought we part You used to know my heart

Oh her dad would scream and shout No one ever knew what about And all of her days She spent steps from her grave she promised to never be like that man using your fist and fear to make them understand she packed up her things and ran she was only 18 she searched for a new life soon became a wife she had kids of her own she had a house and made a home but little did she know that man she'd become they only wanted to know that they were loved but they spent most of her time feeling alone her hand hit hard her words cut deep to the bone she only wanted to know she’d been loved when we look close in the mirror we ignore that beast we've become try and treat our cancer but our blood runs too deep When her kids left home and left her all alone her insides swelled When she knew what she had done i pushed them away she screamed i became that hateful man i promised not to be she screamed and she shout oh god what have i done i never wanted to hurt the ones i loved when we look close in the mirror we ignore that beast we've become try and treat our cancer but our blood runs too deep this story sounds familiar and most can relate. we're that woman. that beast. that fear. And that hate. we all want to feel like we are loved. life's too short to be someone we hate.

Ghost Town 04:25
Oh this town, I can relate. And I feel my heart is at stake. As I walk right on through, this haunting memory that reminds me of you. Give me one more chance Before you go off and dance oh ive been here before Is this dejavu or is it just you Cause we’re making the same ol mistakes Just like before And I’ll wait, for my judgement day And I’ll wait, for my judgement day Oh this glass I’m holding I am looking through It’s been used so many times Just like me and you So I smash the glass but keep all the pieces so i can break through Oh this town, I can relate. And I feel my heart is at stake. As I walk right on through, this haunting memory that reminds me of you.

Dark Days 03:53
People say keep your friends close by And keep your enemies closer in your sights Guess that would make despair my closest friend I’m not ready for it all to end I would cross the ocean for you if you dared me to I would cross the ocean for you I would cross the ocean for you if you dared me to I would cross the ocean for you Where did I lose my way How did this ground get so soft I might fall right on through? I based all this mess on you But still... Don’t let me go Don’t let me down Don’t let me go darlin Don’t let me down I’m goin down this dark road again I’m goin down this dark road again Don’t let me go Don’t let me down Don’t let me go darlin Don’t let me down I’m goin down this dark road again I’m goin down this dark road again I’m goin down this dark road again

All the things you could have would have but never had the heart to try Kept you rollin in the dirt now more scared than when you thought you had tried Now it’s gone and left you forever or at least that’s as far as you can see Cause life’s as good as the sweetness you’re showing me Cause life’s as good as the sweetness you’re showing me Now you’re staring down those tracks, you had all the reasons to go But excuses were made and even more bills to pay So you sit around and you justify all the reason why you didn’t try Cause life’s full of tries until you die Cause life’s full of tries until you die Don’t let it all pass you by Don’t let it all pass you by Don’t let it all pass you by Now life’s gonna try and get you at every chance that it gets So you can choose to run and hide or take it stride by stride Well maybe we’ll all come back as ants or maybe just as cats But no one knows exactly until we die But no one knows exactly until we die Don’t let it all pass you by Don’t let it all pass you by Don’t let it all pass you by
